Blog Post #2 – October 2014

Hey..

From a literary standpoint, October has been a productive month. First, with six final chapters to pen, I’m rounding the homestretch of completing my second novel which serves as Project Hollow’s first installment. Since it’s a literary piece—where prose and style are at least as critical as the story itself—it may take longer to self-edit (…especially when its current expected word count tops 90,000), but it promises to live among the greatest stories I’ve ever penned. More details (e.g. story title, sample chapters, target publication date, etc.) to come…

Second, given that I attempt to sharpen my writing by penning a 2000 word sample chapter per day (or at least attempt to, lol), two weeks ago I happened to pen a sample about a high school girl who, although often means well, always seems to fall into trouble..

Now, I’m not one of those writers who believes everything he pens is gold (..well, maybe a shimmery silver), but I really liked the sample and will, as I do most of my great creations, attempt to develop it a bit. Although this prospective idea may not succeed my current tried-and-true ones, it’s healthy to suppose it may because it, at day’s end, competes with and sharpens them so readers receive the finest possible story…
